Congratulations to Gail Rodgers, Manager of Volunteering Geelong (pictured below with Victorian Premier John Brumby and Lily D'Ambrosio, Minister for Community Development), for being nominated as a finalist at the recent Premier's Community Volunteering Awards 2010 in the Community Volunteering Leadership Section. Premier's Community Volunteering Awards
The Awards promote and celebrate the range and diversity of volunteering activities in Victoria, including volunteering through community organisations as well as community participation in less formal settings. They recognise the wide range of community and personal benefits of volunteering and community participation. They also recognise and celebrate innovation and good practice in a changing volunteering and community participation environment, and provide examples of innovation and good practice to the wider community and not-for-profit sector. |
